The Vizzy Trophy is an annual inter-zonal university limited overs cricket tournament conducted by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and named after former Indian cricket team captain, Maharajkumar of Vizianagram. The competition began in 1966–67 and was traditionally held during February. It is a List A tournament. The BCCI and the AIU jointly organised it annually until 2011, when the BCCI ceased funding it.
The tournament was introduced to arouse interest among university students and is considered as the highest platform for up and coming students to exhibit their talent. The tournament is a means for university students to get selected for the Indian cricket team.
